Work Experience at Garden House Solicitors

My name is Olivia and I am about to start my final year at Durham University studying Law. For the last month I have completed work experience at Garden House Solicitors. I have had the opportunity to work across all of the different departments and I have learnt a lot, especially from shadowing the solicitors. I have assisted with cases involving Wills, Employment, Family, Probate and Conveyancing. A highlight of my time here was working on a personal injury case and helping to prepare to go to court. But another highlight is getting to know the smallest member of the team, Russel, the Garden House dog!

I hope to become a solicitor after I finish my degree, which is why this experience has been so invaluable. Everyone at GHS has been really welcoming and knowledgeable and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
